NYSID Spring Gala 2011
Homage to Mario Buatta
Continuing with our philosophy that “Orange is a neutral” – this table setting was designed to honor the legacy of the great designer, Mario Buatta. Hosted at the luxurious Metropolitan Club, and benefitting the New York School of Interior Design at their annual Spring Gala – the table setting celebrates Mario’s “Zest for Life.” A citrus inspired palette was incorporated throughout the table setting… Fringed apricot parrot tulips grace the dramatic ceramic tulipiere, while whimsical kumquat spheres and candle shades pay an elegant “tongue in cheek” homage to the “king of chintz” himself..
